New updates closer to the 2010 holiday season

Book a private one hour tour, all your own to celebrate the season. Surprise family and friends by inviting them to board the festive trolley and take a ride back into a time when life was full of simple pleasures. We'll show you beautiful decorations along the suburban tour route while you listen to holiday music.

Reserve the trolley for Christmas 2009. Call early as popular days fill quickly.  The trolley provides a unique family activity or special event for your party. Private EGV tours are $200.00 for a one hour tour for up to 30 people. Tours with pickups in other suburbs available at $300.00 plus travel charges if applicable.

  Tour Descriptions

New 2009 Public Tour for Individuals/Family Groups
Sunday December 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. $10.00 per person, all ages.
Call to reserve your spot as we will only take the first 20 people since this is a public tour.
Arrive and park at Krispy Kreme Donuts, 412 E Devon in Elk Grove Village at 6:45. You can purchase a hot chocolate/coffee in a covered cup.
Trolley will leave promptly at 7:00 pm. Please have exact money for this tour. Cash only.

Traditional Elk Grove area Holiday Lights
Our Traditional Holiday Lights Tour is a family favorite year after year! This ride includes Elk Grove Village and surrounding areas where beautiful displays are set up. Tour may include stories and insights about many of the houses and displays.

Length: Approximately 1 hour from pick up to drop off in EGV on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for groups up to 30.
Departures: 6 pm and 7:30 pm Thursdays and Fridays. 5:30, 7:00 and 8:30 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Restrictions: A parent or guardian must accompany Children. Groups with children must have at least one adult supervisor per five children. Children must behave on the trolley.
Charter Price: $200.00 (EGV pickups.)

Arlington Heights Holiday Lights
Sing-a-long to your favorite holiday songs as the trolley takes a scenic ride to view the charming holiday displays in and around downtown Arlington Heights. Upon arrival at Arlington Heights’ North School Park, parents are invited to walk with their children among the wonderfully crafted displays in the park. The trolley will give passengers fifteen minutes to see the displays and then ring the trolley bell to board. This one hour tour is specially suited for families with youngsters.

Length: Approximately 1 hour from pick up to drop off on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for groups up to 30.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS EXPRESS CHARTER INFORMATION

To reserve your trolley for your private group (up to 30 passengers) Holiday Lights Express ride, you must set up a contract with Village Trolley. Contact Village Trolley with your preferred date and an alternate date. 

When you book your tour you must provide full payment with a check/money order within 10 business days of receiving the contract or the date will open back up. 

Dress according to weather conditions. Although the trolley is heated it does sit outside and will start out cold. Feel free to bring blankets. The windows sometimes fog up during the rides and we provide cloths/paper towels or scrapers to wipe them off. 

Smoking is never permitted. 

Weather: Village Trolley reserves the right to cancel tours if the temperature drops below 25 degrees or if the company determines driving conditions to be hazardous due to ice, snow or fog. If Village Trolley cancels, your money will be refunded. 

Lights: Village Trolley makes a great effort to provide a memorable Holiday Lights Express Tour, but cannot guarantee the quantity or quality of lights or displays to be seen.
